First gig at what was Hammersmith Apollo but is now called Eventim Apollo
Unfortunately we had to be right at the back as it was an all seated event and the stage there is quite low. Luckily my new (well second hand from eBay) teleconverter had come that morning so had it with me. It’s the Nikon x1.7 to tuns my Nikon 70-200 into a 119-340mm lens. However it changes the max aperture from f2.8 to f4.8.

Came across this little video linked by a friend on Facebook.
I wholeheartedly agree with it – likely why I’m constantly so busy and always have stuff to do. I seem to fill my time up without trying.
Another gig – my first time at Brixton Academy photographing other than club nights.
Nice big pit but a tad on the cold side of things. Happy I managed to get a shot of Rise Against front man going into the crowd!
Lighting was a bit dark and the singer’s cap didn’t help

Once again it’s that time of year where the excellent Modern Panic art exhibition is on.
As per before – I had the pleasure to attend the opening event and take photos there.
I have a few friends that are exhibitors there.
It’s a great show and I would highly advise taking a look. As well as the original art – some exhibitors have prints on sale. If I had a big house I’d buy so much from this show!

Another one of these inspirational little videos I occasionally come across and enjoy. Not specifically about photography, in fact it’s about music/composing, but rather can really be about almost anything where you create something and can get stuck into it a bit too much.
It starts a bit strangely but stick with it.
I get several elements from it, others may get different things.
I know I’ve been guilty of comparing myself to others or my photography to theirs. Sometimes this can be disheartening. I think it’s healthy sometimes – pushes us to be better within ourselves, but it can have negative issues too.
Also – I know I’ve been guilty of getting stuck into editing and turning other things down because I have too much to do.
And we’re all probably guilty of taking life too seriously at times.
